Primary Responsibilities:
The Director of Manufacturing leads all production operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant manufacture of components, assemblies, or systems. This role is responsible for developing and executing manufacturing strategy, improving operational performance, driving cost competitiveness, and ensuring adherence to FAA , OEM quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Director of Manufacturing partners closely with Sales, and Management to deliver products on time, within budget, and meeting stringent technical and regulatory requirements. Director of Manufacturing will also participate and assist in the hiring process, performance management, time keeping and training.
- In addition, to the above, Director of Manufacture will oversee and direct the Engineering Supervisor, Quality and Production Supervisor/Lead to ensure continuity in the organization. This will include but not limited to maintains Engineering schedule, coordinates project deliverables, Review and sign of Reports and review drawings for manufacturability. Experience and interaction with FAA designations as DMIR, DAR, DER, and ODA is preferred.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in OEM or FAA PMA aerospace manufacturing, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of aerospace production processes such as machining, assembly, plastic/rubber molding, and materials.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace quality systems, FAA regulatory compliance, and safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change-management skills.
- 5+ years experience as Inspector.
- 5+ years previous experience supervising others
- Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and multitask multiple projects
- Able to lead and motivate others to meet deadlines
