Responsibilities
Capacity & Performance Management
• Oversee system capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization.
• Ensure infrastructure scalability and availability to meet business demands.
Data Center Management
• Manage on-premises and co-location data centers.
• Ensure operational resilience, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness.
Contract & Vendor Management
• Manage third-party IT vendors and service providers.
• Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, SLAs, and vendor risk assessments.
• Support OCC and MUFG(CUSO) third-party risk management requirements.
External Resources & Consultant Management
• Strategically utilize and manage external IT resources, consultants, and managed service providers.
• Define scope of work, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria for consultants and contractors.
• Ensure effective knowledge transfer from external resources to internal teams.
• Monitor performance, cost, and risk associated with external engagements.
• Ensure alignment with internal governance, security policies, and OCC and MUFG(CUSO) third-party risk expectations.
IT Server Project & Task Management
• Lead infrastructure-related projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities and budget.
Configuration Management
• Maintain configuration standards and baselines.
• Ensure accurate documentation and change control processes.
Asset Management
• Establish governance over IT asset lifecycle management.
• Ensure assets are properly tracked, secured, and retired.
Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and infrastructure components.
• Support audit and regulatory examination requests.
License Management
• Oversee software license compliance and optimization.
• Reduce financial and compliance risks related to under- or over-licensing.
Governance & Compliance
• Ensure infrastructure operations align with OCC guidance, FFIEC expectations, and MUFG(CUSO) policies.
• Support audits, regulatory exams, and risk assessments.
• Based on changes in the business work environment, job responsibilities can change and removed accordingly. Additionally, this position will perform other duties as required and participate in special projects as deemed necessary and appropriate by Management.
Minimum Skills & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years in an IT leadership role managing external consultants, contractors, and managed service providers.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in: Data center and enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Experience with vendor contract and third-party risk management, Asset, configuration, and license management.
• Experience working in a financial institution or other highly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of IT controls, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Clear communication with executives, auditors, regulators, and technical teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Office products.
• Must be versatile, able to work effectively independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible to work beyond regular office hours at times based on business needs.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $150K-$160K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
