Logistics Coordinator

Overview
Drillchem is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of products across domestic operations. This role is responsible for coordinating customer and supplier shipments, managing inventory at domestic stock points, and working closely with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries. The position supports core supply chain operations and reports directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments for customers and suppliers
- Arrange inventory transfers between domestic stock points
- Obtain and evaluate freight rates from common carriers
- Track deliveries and ensure signed delivery tickets are received
- Monitor inventory levels and product quality across all domestic locations
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics issues
- Provide after-hours support, including nights and weekends on a rotating on-call schedule
- Assist the Senior Supply Chain Manager with logistics and supply chain projects
Additional Duties
- Support inventory and transportation planning with management
- Travel occasionally to job sites and stock points for physical inventory counts and quality checks
- Participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of logistics experience required; industry-related experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
