Position Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor oversees all inbound and outbound logistics operations in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant shipping and receiving activities while supervising and supporting warehouse personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train shipping and receiving staff; assign daily tasks and ensure on-time completion
- Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and preparation of outbound shipments
- Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, serialization, labels)
- Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and industry regulations
- Upload and manage documentation through customer portals
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, carriers, and freight forwarders
- Resolve shipping issues, delays, or damages and implement process improvements
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and manage shipping supplies
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or aerospace shipping/receiving experience
- Prior supervisory or lead experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
