Lead Carpenter – Residential Construction (Company Vehicle Provided)
Kletz Contracting is a professional residential general contracting company seeking a reliable, experienced Lead Carpenter to run jobs in the field. This role requires strong carpentry skills, leadership, accountability, and the ability to execute work without micromanagement.
This is a long-term position for the right person — not a trial role, not entry-level.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations on residential construction and remodeling projects
- Perform and oversee high-quality carpentry work (framing, remodels, finish)
- Read and execute work from plans, specs, and scopes
- Direct carpenters and laborers; set daily priorities
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
- Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and workmanship standards
- Communicate progress, issues, and needs clearly to ownership
- Represent the company professionally with clients and inspectors
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years residential carpentry experience
- 2+ years in a lead carpenter or foreman role
- Strong knowledge of residential construction sequencing
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Own basic hand tools
Company Vehicle Policy
- Company van provided for work use
- Vehicle must be returned to the company shop at the end of each workday
- Vehicle is for job-related use only
