J2 is currently seeking an Electrical Construction Superintendent who wants to grow their careers and lead award winning projects. They will have experience in general construction and commercial new construction. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of electricians and other team members on the job site(s). This person will coordinate and manage the installation and/or repair of electrical systems, mechanical systems conductors, and associated equipment for the assigned job site. The candidate will be responsible for safety, accident, and disciplinary reporting as well as functioning as the Site Safety Representative for the project.
The ideal Electrical Construction Superintendent will include the following:
- Must be knowledgable in NEC code
- Seasoned Journeyman Electrician experience
- Must be able to ensure compliance with OSHA safety, health, and quality standards
- Must be able to manage relationships with key stakeholders, clients, employees and vendors
- Must be able to specify milestones for success and deliverables (including managing budgets) and plan work assignments that meet deadlines requirements while considering changes in budget or scope during the execution of the contract
- Will manage all facets of the construction process to maintain cost compliance, proper allocation of resources, production methods
- Must maintain project oversight to meet project objectives.
- Will review project documentation to ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes/regulations
- Must be able to take instruction and give instructions
- Must present great leadership skills
- Must be able to communicate verbally and electronically

Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Participating in all field work activities and willing to work with tools when necessary
- Collaborates with support departments such as prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting
- Maintain and manage project schedules
- Provide basic direction, training, and support of less experienced personnel
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Management of field technicians and effective usage of time
- Timely material ordering and maintaining inventory of jobsite materials using knowledge of electrical systems and electrical construction
- Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and inventory of equipment and tools
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures
- Operating and maintaining company vehicles
- Ensure all safety standards are met by performing meetings, "Toolbox Talks", and keeping safety records
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Maintain open communication with Project Management
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Oversee personnel administration (field staff), weekly timesheet submission, attendance, time-off requests, daily and weekly reports and reprimands (when necessary)
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of on-site supervision of general construction services
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8000+ hrs)
- Maintain all licensing and training requirements
- Strong knowledge and application of National Electric Code (NEC)
- OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid trained
- Construction Quality Control
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Pay: $75,446.74 - $100,860.59 per year
