Location
The Vice President of Manufacturing is based onsite at PermaTherm’s manufacturing plant in Monticello, Georgia, with daily presence required. PermaTherm’s headquarters and pipe fabrication facility are in nearby Covington, Georgia.

Position Impact
The Vice President of Manufacturing is a key driver in converting growing customer demand into reliable, efficient, and profitable production—while maintaining PermaTherm’s high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
As production volumes increase significantly in the coming years, this leader will shape capacity expansion, workforce planning, cost discipline, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working in close partnership with the COO, CFO, and commercial leadership, the VP of Manufacturing will ensure manufacturing capabilities remain tightly aligned with sales demand, customer commitments, and PermaTherm’s long-term strategic objectives.
Functions and Responsibilities
The Vice President of Manufacturing will hold a critical leadership role within PermaTherm, overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations and plant performance while upholding the company’s core values.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide full leadership and oversight of manufacturing operations, including panel production, trim production, foam production, yard operations, and future production expansions
- Drive operational excellence through the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of scalable manufacturing processes and systems
- Lead capacity planning, workforce planning, and shift optimization to support rapid growth and evolving demand
- Partner closely with Sales and Customer Fulfillment to ensure on-time delivery, quality execution, and exceptional customer experience
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, control costs, and improve margins
- Develop and mentor plant leadership and frontline supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Serve as a visible, hands-on leader on the production floor, building trust and influence through engagement rather than command-and-control leadership
- Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain to improve purchasing integration, inventory management, and cost forecasting
- Support capital investment decisions related to equipment, automation, and facility expansion
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe and positive work environment
Professional Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience within a true manufacturing environment, ideally characterized by automation, machinery-driven production, and operational complexity. Experience scaling operations in a high-growth setting is strongly preferred.
This role requires a proven manufacturing leader who has held senior plant or operations responsibility with full P&L ownership. Successful candidates will understand the demands of expanding production capacity, building and developing high-performing teams, and introducing operational rigor—including lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices—without disrupting a strong, values-driven culture. Experience in building materials, metal fabrication, structural steel, advanced manufacturing, or adjacent industrial environments is highly relevant, though direct industry experience is not required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong operational acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to make data-driven decisions while remaining adaptable, hands-on, and entrepreneurial.
