We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to work on a contract basis to lead key initiatives within the Finance and Accounting division of a hospitality organization. This role focuses on establishing a shared service center for finance processes, including accounts payable, fixed assets, and hotel accounting. As this is a long-term contract position, the ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management expertise, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to driving transformation efforts.
This is a 12-month contract position
Hybrid work schedule: 3 days onsite in the office in Plano, Texas
Project Manager (contract position):
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, dashboards, risk logs, and status reports to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, track action items, and engage stakeholders across diverse finance and accounting teams.
• Support the evaluation and onboarding of vendors for shared services and outsourcing initiatives.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and reports, distilling complex information into concise summaries tailored for senior audiences.
• Monitor project budgets, updating documentation and analyzing the impact of financial changes.
• Ensure sensitive organizational changes are handled with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Collaborate onsite with the Project Director, external consultants, and divisional leaders to drive project success.
• Build strong relationships with external vendors, accounting leaders, and executive sponsors to ensure seamless communication.
• Manage time effectively while working independently in a fast-paced, transformation-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; certifications such as PMP are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with expertise in leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Proven background in finance and accounting shared services or process outsourcing; experience in other industries such as IT or construction is not applicable.
• Advanced proficiency in Project, PowerPoint, and Excel, with a strong ability to create dashboards and executive-level reports.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential projects with a detail-oriented approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interfacing with executives, vendors, and operational teams.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage project deliverables and documentation.
• Experience working in transformation-focused environments and adapting to evolving priorities.
