Primary Purpose

The Vice President of IT Infrastructure & End User Services is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of the company’s global IT infrastructure and end-user technology ecosystem. This role oversees all core infrastructure platforms as well as end-user computing, service management, and IT operations, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology services that enable business productivity and growth.
This leader will balance strategic vision with operational rigor, driving modernization across data center, cloud, network, security, end-user services, and ITSM while leading and developing a high-performing technical organization.
Essential Functions
Enterprise Infrastructure Leadership
- Provide end-to-end ownership of IT infrastructure services, including: Data Center operations (on-prem and hosted), Virtualization platforms, Networking & perimeter security, Cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange, Application and database infrastructure, Enterprise contact center platforms: Cisco and Five9
- Ensure infrastructure platforms meet requirements for availability, performance, scalability, security, and disaster recovery
- Define and maintain architecture standards, roadmaps, and lifecycle management across all infrastructure domains
End User Computing (EUC) & Workplace Technology
- Own the end-user computing strategy, including, Endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, mobile), Operating systems, patching, and endpoint security, Virtual desktops and remote access technologies, Device lifecycle management and standardization
- Ensure a high-quality employee technology experience for distributed and remote workforces
- Partner with HR and business leaders on onboarding, offboarding, and workforce enablement technologies
End User Support & IT Service Management (ITIL)
- Lead End User Support and Service Desk operations, including Tier 1–3 support models
- Establish and mature ITIL-aligned service management practices, including: Incident, problem, and change management, Service request fulfillment, Asset and configuration management (CMDB), Knowledge management and continual service improvement
- Define and track SLAs, KPIs, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Drive service automation, self-service capabilities, and operational efficiency
Cloud, Modernization & Automation
- Lead hybrid and multi-cloud strategies, including governance, security, and cost optimization (FinOps)
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives:
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Platform consolidation and standardization
- Migration from legacy systems to cloud and SaaS solutions
- Collaborate with Application, Data, and Security teams to support cloud-native and modern application architectures
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Partner closely with Information Security leadership to ensure infrastructure and EUC environments align with:
- Security architecture and policies
- Regulatory and audit requirements
- Incident response and business continuity planning
- Ensure infrastructure readiness for audits, penetration testing, and disaster recovery exercises
People Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure, EUC, and operations managers and senior engineers
- Build succession plans and career paths for technical and leadership talent
- Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement
Financial & Vendor Management
- Own infrastructure and end-user services budgets, including CapEx and OpEx
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors to support business and operational goals
Executive Partnership & Business Enablement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO and executive leadership team
- Translate complex technical topics into business impact, risk, and value
- Support business growth initiatives, M&A integrations, and operational scaling
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has supervisory responsibilities over the Information Technology (IT) function
Qualifications
- 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing managers and large teams
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale IT infrastructure and end-user services organizations
- Strong expertise in:
- Data center and virtualization technologies (Nutanix, VMware, Citrix)
- Networking and security platforms (Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud)
- Microsoft Exchange and collaboration tools
- Application and database infrastructure
- End user computing and workplace technologies
- ITIL-based IT service management
- Contact center platforms (Cisco, Five9)
- Demonstrated success in hybrid cloud architectures, DR/BCP, and high-availability environments
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and vendors
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL certification (Foundation or higher)
- Cloud and infrastructure certifications (Azure, VMware, Nutanix, Cisco)
- Experience supporting remote-first or globally distributed organizations
- Background in regulated, high-availability, or customer-facing environments

Salary Range
$191,700.00 – $287,600.00 / year
Pay Transparency Statement
At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
