Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Mason to join our team. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures using brick, stone, concrete, and other masonry materials. You will work on a variety of projects, from residential homes to large commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials to build structures such as walls, chimneys, and foundations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Mix mortar and other materials to achieve proper consistency and strength.
- Install and repair masonry surfaces and structures, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety standards are met.
- Ensure proper alignment and finishing of work.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members, including laborers and other tradespeople, to complete projects on time.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
- Assist in project planning and provide expertise on material selection, layout, and design.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mason, with a minimum of 2 years in the trade.
- In-depth knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
