Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
Designing and installing advanced testing equipment to evaluate product performance and identify potential defects.
Performing product testing and detailed analysis to maintain quality standards and minimize defect and failure rates.
Analyzing quality reports and defective products to identify trends and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborating with supplier representatives to resolve quality issues and ensuring the implementation of effective corrective actions.
Contributing to supplier quality improvement initiatives and monitoring ongoing supplier performance.
Driving continuous improvement efforts across processes and systems to enhance overall product quality and reliability.
Supporting internal audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field is required.
Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably within a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or aerospace.
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, problem-solving techniques, and statistical analysis tools.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, or other quality system standards is preferred.
Proficiency in using quality management software and tools, including Minitab, SAP, or similar platforms.
