We are seeking a Transportation Service Specialist to support daily outbound transportation operations for multiple manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for coordinating freight assignments, communicating with carriers, and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and damage-free in a cost-effective manner.
You will work closely with customers, carriers, manufacturing teams, logistics analysts, material planners, and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign daily freight to approved carriers to meet customer delivery schedules
- Coordinate and communicate with carriers regarding shipment status and issues
- Collaborate with internal teams (Manufacturing, Customer Service, Logistics, Material Planning)
- Identify and troubleshoot transportation and delivery problems
- Ensure on-time and damage-free delivery of customer orders
- Support continuous improvement of transportation operations
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
