Job Purpose And Impact
The Director, Construction Management will integrate the construction activities and startup processes in a build project with relevant stakeholders to promote a safe work environment, reduce recycle, and promote efficient construction field operations. In this role, you will be responsible to lead the development, deployment and delivery of construction objectives. Act as the senior construction authority interfacing with engineering, operations, and Employee, Health and Safety (EHS) for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide strategic vision, leadership and construction expertise to the team for project execution, scope, design and review.
- Lead the overall build project execution phase following established project controls and timetables to deliver build projects that meet all safety, quality and regulatory goals.
- Provide expertise during early to final design development of build projects through facilitation of construction execution strategies.
- Partner with build project manager to measure, monitor and report project progress and key metrics during execution phase to mitigate risk and increase performance of project.
- Responsible to promote a safe work environment throughout the execution of the build project.
- Develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the project.
- Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
- Lead contractor selection, mobilization, performance management, and field execution governanance to ensure safety, scheduling, cost, and quality objectives are met.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
- Experience leading construction execution for large capital projects (e.g. $500m+)
- Experience managing EPC, EPCM, or multi-contractor environments
- Experience working in regulated industrial or manufacturing environments
- Ability to travel up to 75%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading construction on large-scale industrial or manufacturing facilities
- Application of continuous improvement or lean construction methodologies experience
- Three or more years of experience of direct people leadership in construction or project environments
- Experience partnering with EHS, Operations, and Engineering during startup and commissioning

- The expected salary for this position is $150,000-$170,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
