About AMACO
Founded in 1919, American Art Clay Company (AMACO) is a third-generation, family-owned leader in ceramic supplies, known for pioneering lead-free glazes, electric kilns, and potter’s wheels. Our culture is rooted in continuous improvement, safety, quality, and empowering every team member—from the factory floor to the office—to innovate and collaborate.
A Day in the Life
You start your shift by syncing your RF scanner with NAV to review queued orders. Pallets are staged and sorted for trailer loading, and you move between stations—Pick/Pack, Dock, International, and UPS/FedEx—based on the day’s priorities. You’ll pull the manual dock chain, shrink wrap and label materials, and safely operate equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to keep outbound freight on schedule.
Throughout the day, you assemble customer orders, place them on pallets or shelves, convey them to packing or shipping, and verify accuracy by weighing or counting items. You’ll perform cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity, support labeling for outbound shipments, and jump in to help coordinate shows and samples when requested. Above all, you keep your area clean, safe, and organized while meeting company standards.
