Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute long‑term infrastructure and application modernization strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate strategic priorities into scalable, future‑ready technology solutions.
- Advance operational excellence through standardization, automation, and proactive capacity and performance planning.
Infrastructure Oversight
- Direct the architecture, deployment, and ongoing management of on‑premises, colocation, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Ensure the reliability, resilience, and high performance of core systems, networks, and branch technologies.
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and data center operations to maintain operational stability.
Business Applications Management
- Manage the portfolio of vendor‑supported business applications, including core banking, LOS, and CRM platforms.
- Lead vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, SLAs, and integration strategy.
- Partner with business units to optimize workflows, drive automation, and increase adoption of enterprise systems.
- Govern configuration management, release processes, and change control to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with Cybersecurity leadership to ensure alignment on security controls, risk mitigation, and data protection requirements.
- Coordinate with Technical Support and Facilities teams to maintain consistent, reliable operations across all branch digital environments.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture initiatives, data strategy development, and AI‑related modernization efforts.
Operational Management
- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor system uptime, incident response, and overall application health.
- Develop, mentor, and guide infrastructure and application teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for technology initiatives.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, or technology operations.
- Experience within the financial services or credit union sector strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, and SOC 2, as well as vendor due‑diligence processes.
- Proven success leading cloud migrations, SaaS implementations, or large‑scale modernization initiatives.
Certifications
- Relevant certifications—such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or Azure Solutions Architect—are highly desirable.
- Project management certification or equivalent experience managing enterprise‑level technology projects.
