Concrete Foreman (Mining Industry)

About the Role
Miller Contracting is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to manage and lead concrete placement, forming, and finishing operations across active mining and industrial job sites. This role is well-suited for a hands-on leader who takes initiative and leads crews safely and effectively in demanding field environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Enforce MSHA, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
- Monitor quality and ensure work meets specifications and tolerances
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with the site’s representatives and engineers
- Lead and supervise concrete crews on active job sites
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks based on project schedules
- Oversee concrete placement, forming, reinforcing, finishing, and curing operations
- Read and interpret concrete drawings, plans, and specifications
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, and other trades
- Conduct daily safety briefings and job hazard analysis
- Monitor quality and ensure work meets specifications and tolerances
- Track progress and proactively address challenges or delays
- Mentor crew members and maintain productivity and morale
- Be a solution provider
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Lead in concrete, civil, mining, or industrial construction
- Ability to work independently and lead crews effectively
- Ability to read and interpret concrete drawings and construction plans
- Strong understanding of concrete methods and quality standards
- Working knowledge of MSHA and OSHA safety requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel to project locations
Preferred
- Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Experience on large-scale or multi-site projects
- MSHA training and/or OSHA certification
- Spanish / bilingual communication skills
- Strong organizational and crew management skills
