About the Role ******MUST WORK IN OUR OFFICE******
Dial’s Metal Works is hiring an experienced Estimator / Project Managerwith a proven background in structural and miscellaneous steel. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already understands steel construction and can independently estimate, manage, and deliver projects.
What You Will Do
- Perform accurate steel take-offs and pricingfor:
- Structural steel, joists, decking
- Stairs, rails, mezzanines, and miscellaneous metals
- Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings
- Prepare professional, competitive bid proposals
- Manage awarded projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinate fabrication schedules, field labor, and material deliveries
- Track budgets, labor hours, change orders, and project timelines
- Communicate directly with general contractors, vendors, and field crews
- Attend job meetings and site visits as required
Required Experience (Applicants Without This Will Not Be Considered)
- 5+ yearsexperience in steel estimating and/or project management
- Direct experience with structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection
- Strong understanding of joists, decking, connections, and erection sequencing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong Excel skills for estimating and job cost tracking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strongly Preferred
- Background in steel fabrication or erection (shop or field)
- Experience with estimating tools such as Bluebeamor similar
- Knowledge of AISC standards and steel detailing concepts (no detailing required)
- Experience working directly with general contractors.

Pay: $58,640.00 - $65,480.00 per year
