Overall Responsibilities:
The incumbent performs engineering duties in planning and overseeing construction of building structures, and facilities. Provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. Project Engineer assists the Project Managers in field work support, estimating, procurement, preparing reports, subcontracts, and providing overall support in every aspect of each construction project.
Primary functions:
- Work with staff on project control activities including project document management, RFI, submittals, contract document review, scheduling, monitoring of building construction, repair, and rehabilitation projects from planning stages through the completion of construction.
- Overall overseeing of the construction process and staff.
- Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers and staff to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
- Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.
- Assist in Maintaining budgets and make adjustments according to needs as they arise.
- Track and document performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
- Prepare weekly progress reports.
- Provide technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract terms and work with subcontractor personnel to promote safe and effective site operations.
