Duties
Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials to ensure smooth workflow. Carry out foundational tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, and installing basic structures under supervision. Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently to perform tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling components. Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by providing assistance with their specific tasks. Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing protective gear, adhering to site safety guidelines, and reporting hazards immediately. Participate in routine inspections of work areas to maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety standards. Contribute to the timely completion of projects by working collaboratively with team members and adhering to project schedules.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not required. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills on the job. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment; certification in OSHA safety standards is preferred but not mandatory.
