Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Foreman Electrician to lead electrical projects on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive electrical expertise, and familiarity with construction management commercial standards. This role offers an opportunity to oversee complex electrical installations, ensure safety compliance, and manage project timelines effectively. The Foreman Electrician will play a critical role in leading projects, completing commercial projects in an organized and timely manner and maintaining adherence to blueprints and schematics.
Duties
- Lead electrical crews on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and ensure proper inventory management for electrical components.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify compliance with safety standards (OSHA) and project requirements.
- Perform or supervise testing of electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to verify proper operation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site, including adherence to OSHA regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics/lighting control diagrams, Ansul Systems
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards (OSHA).
- Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Familiarity with pipeline projects or heavy infrastructure is a plus.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards and quality work.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Perform electrical work on both high voltage and low voltage systems
- Construction site experience in a leadership role is a plus but not mandatory. This position offers a dynamic environment where leadership skills combined with technical expertise will contribute significantly to successful project delivery within the construction industry.
