Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Ocean Freight / TLF-TL Logistics
- Manage end-to-end ocean freight operations, including booking, documentation, container tracking, and carrier coordination.
- Optimize TLF/TL shipments and ensure timely dispatch, transit, and delivery.
- Review and verify Bill of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export/import compliance documents.
- Monitor vessel schedules, port delays, and container status to pre-empt supply chain disruptions.
- Evaluate freight forwarder performance, negotiate rates, and ensure service-level adherence.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and ISO standards.
Secondary Responsibilities: Air, Road & Rail (As Required)
- Coordinate expedited shipments through air freight when necessary.
- Manage regional road and rail shipments, ensuring smooth coordination with 3PLs and carriers.
- Optimize multimodal routing when cost or timelines require hybrid solutions.
Logistics Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze shipment data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare detailed logistics reports on freight costs, transit performance, carrier KPIs, and budget adherence.
- Develop dashboards and analytical insights to support procurement and supply chain decision-making.
- Streamline logistics workflows through process mapping, data analysis, and automation opportunities.
- Support annual freight tender processes with data and performance analytics.
Operational Responsibilities
- Facilitate the movement of goods across global destinations while meeting customer deadlines.
- Coordinate order fulfilment activities to ensure on-time shipment with zero quality issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, carriers, and customers to avoid delays and resolve logistics issues.
- Ensure ERP (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) is updated with accurate shipping information, lead times, and delivery status.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail in documents, shipment records, and performance reporting.

- Strong understanding of ocean freight logistics, international shipping, and TLF/TL operations.
- Proficient analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving ability, capable of arranging urgent/same-day shipments when required.
- High attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
- Effective communicator across suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment.
- Recognizes opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancement.
- Experience preparing accurate and professional management reports.
