We have partnered with a leading Ingredient Manufacturer to recruit for a Process Engineer – New Jersey. This hands-on technical role is focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and supporting technical innovation across a high-performing ingredients facility.
As Process Engineer, you will work closely with operations, quality, R&D, and maintenance teams to enhance process reliability, drive continuous improvement, and ensure consistent product quality across all production lines.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Science, or a related engineering field.
- 3–7+ years of experience in ingredients, food manufacturing, chemicals, or specialty materials production environments.
- Strong understanding of process optimization, scale-up, and manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with root-cause analysis, Lean/Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety standards, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize existing production processes to improve efficiency, yield, and throughput.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
- Support process scale-up, validation, and new equipment commissioning.
- Collaborate with R&D to transfer new formulations and processes into manufacturing.
- Develop SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership using process metrics and performance dashboards.
