We are growing and accepting applications for Assistant Construction Superintendent openings. These are career positions that offer excellent pay and benefits while travel is required. The majority of our work is primarily between Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma.
Requirements: 2 years of prior Superintendent experience. Preferred experience in water/ wastewater, heavy civil, utility construction, or pipeline knowledge.
The following duties describe the position of Assistant Superintendent:
- Follows all company policies.
- Assist plans and schedules project prior to start with project manager.
- Helps project manager choose and schedule personnel, equipment, materials and equipment.
- Lays out job.
- Focuses on timely completion by supervising crews, coordinating with subs, and checking with PM on materials.
- Obtains and changes personnel and construction equipment resources to complete on time and on budget.
- Helps assign and controls crews.
- Assisting in plans and supervises job site safety; include weekly meetings.
- Plans and supervises routine equipment maintenance.
- Assist requesting special assistance from Topeka office for problems in safety, equipment up time, and poor crew performance.
- Takes responsibility for all reports, including time cards, labor quantity reports, equipment maintenance/status reports, safety reports, shipping reports, etc.
- Immediately reports to human resources manger, equipment manager and project manager all injuries, deaths, property damage, or equipment damage by telephone. Follows up with written report.
- Assist in hiring all job site hourly manpower; submits required forms.
- Fully comprehends job plans and specifications and follows up.
- Trains and keeps all personnel informed at jobsite.
- Knows weather conditions and plans accordingly.
- Reports all changed conditions or extra work to project manager for contract changes.
- Provides job site security.
- Secures competent person for operating equipment and safety.
- Follows EEO, harassment, ADA guidelines and control.
- Continuously improves crew and project.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Experience in managing construction projects and sites
- Strong background in project scheduling and budgeting
- Familiarity with ProCore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software
- Ability to read blueprints and oversee quality control processes
- Previous experience in supervising construction teams and ensuring compliance with regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
