Job Summary: The Disaster Case Manager is responsible for providing a wide variety of disaster recovery client services, including disaster relief, assessments, supportive services, information and referral, financial assistance, advocacy, and the development of long-term disaster recovery plans.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures program files are accurate and correct;
- Obtains a working knowledge of applicant needs and program eligibility criteria;
- Understands program objectives and other key objectives;
- Understand program processes from start to finish and communicates clearly and
actively with applicants;
- Ensures all client data is current in database;
- Networks with other community-based groups, schools, churches, government and
non-profit agencies, and housing coalitions
- Compiles weekly reports of assistance provided;
- Maintains client confidentiality; and
- Provides other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: The employee in this position may be required to sit at a desk for long periods of time. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. Must own reliable transportation and be able to operate a vehicle as local travel is required. Ability to walk in and around active construction sites.
Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. One plus years of providing customer service and/or clerical work. Own reliable transportation.
Preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field.
Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
