Summary
Under the direction of SVP, CIO, we are seeking a Windows Server Administrator to support our virtualized Windows server environment and grow into broader cloud and infrastructure responsibilities. You'll work closely with three experienced IT professionals who will provide mentorship while you take on day-to-day server operations, monitoring, and backups.This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in Windows Server/Active Directory who wants to deepen their skills in VMware, Azure, networking, and backup/DR in a regulated financial services environment. This position works closely with the Information Security, Help Desk, and Infrastructure teams to support organizational goals and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure consistent uptime and responsiveness.
- Perform routine tasks such as user and group administration, permissions, Group Policy updates, and basic troubleshooting.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patching in accordance with security policies and change control procedures.
- With support from the broader IT team, manage Microsoft Exchange Online, Office 365 tenant administration, and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain virtualization platforms, primarily VMware and/or Hyper-V.
- Ensure proper configuration and operation of backup and disaster recovery systems (e.g., Zerto, Azure Backup).
- Support the onboarding, lifecycle, and decommissioning of servers, virtual machines, and services.
- In collaboration with the rest of the IT team, implement and support on-prem based business applications (e.g., Velocity, LoanDirector etc.)
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and diagrams in accordance with IT standards.
- Participate in audits, security reviews, and compliance assessments as needed (e.g., NCUA, DoB, Internal Audit).
- Collaborate with IT peers to enhance automation, standardization, and performance tuning across systems, including cross-training with other IT areas for redundancy.
Other Duties
- Provide support to the Help Desk and end-users for system-related issues.
- Assist in business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing efforts.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call rotation as needed.
- Research and evaluate new technologies for system improvements or upgrades.
- Assist in IT project planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Support vendor relationships and service-level agreements related to infrastructure tools and platforms.
- Perform hardware lifecycle tasks such as imaging, decommissioning, and asset tracking.
- Stay current on industry best practices, security trends, and regulatory requirements relevant to credit union operations.
- Act as vendor owner for in scope 3rd party relationships, including ownership of those vendor management processes and reviews.
- Provides service to our membership communities by actively volunteering time to local civic and charitable organizations.

Qualifications, Experience, And Education
- High School diploma or GED.
- Associate's degree in technology or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Previous banking experience with Fiserv DNA and/or COCC Insight core is preferred. Demonstrated experience in hardware/software installation and support Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- 3-5 years of experience in Windows Server and Active Directory (user/group administration, permissions, Group Policy basics).
- Certifications related to core IT foundation (Network+, Security+), Windows system management preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of virtualization concepts and cloud technologies (Azure)
Computer and Equipment Skills
- Foundational computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
- Use of Outlook email and calendaring.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and/or other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis, and maintain databases.
- Use of online teleconferencing software (e.g., Zoom or Teams).
