POSITION SUMMARY
The Carpenter will perform tasks involving physical labor and heavy construction projects. This may require the use and operation of a variety of hand and power tools. 3+ years of construction/handyman service experience required. A background check and a drug test can be conducted at any time once considered for the role. Location is in Sault Sainte Marie, MI and surrounding areas. Occasional travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Carpenter, one is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects including:
● General construction
● Garages and pole barns
● Additions and remodels
● Windows and doors
● Siding
● Soffit and facia
● Roofing
● Flooring and tile
● Insulation
● Lighting and fans
● Acoustical Ceiling Tile
● Decks, patios, and stairs
● Drywall
● Tree services
● Wooden fencing and gates
● Debris removal
● Cement
● Demolition
● Other handyman services
● Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
● Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state identification prior to
employment.
● Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and
ability to perform the work
● Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
● Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction work
● Knowledge of applicable safety precautions
● Ability to work independently and in groups to complete activities according to work
schedule
● Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform
strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
● Ability to communicate orally and in writing

Excellent stamina is required. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The noise level in the work environment is generally loud.
