Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Construction Laborer and play a key role in supporting our electrical contracting operations! As an Electrical Construction Laborer, you will assist electricians and other skilled tradespeople with essential tasks such as material handling, site preparation, equipment setup, and basic electrical support duties. Duties
- Assist electricians with preparing electrical work areas by clearing debris, setting up ladders or temporary lighting, and organizing electrical materials
- Load, unload, and transport electrical supplies, conduit, tools, and equipment around the job site with care and accuracy
- Help with basic electrical tasks under supervision, such as pulling wire, running conduit, mounting boxes, and supporting rough-in or trim-out work
- Dig trenches for underground electrical conduit and help set up grounding systems as directed
- Operate basic power tools and electrical trade tools safely (e.g., drills, saws, benders) while following all safety protocols
- Follow instructions from supervisors and licensed electricians to complete tasks efficiently and support project schedules
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment to promote productivity and prevent hazards
- Conduct simple inspections of cords, tools, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with electrical safety standards
- Support jobsite safety by wearing proper PPE, following lockout/tagout or other electrical safety procedures, and reporting hazards immediately
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting electrical materials, carrying conduit, and standing for long durations
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn the electrical trade
- Excellent teamwork skills; able to follow directions clearly and communicate effectively with electricians and other crew members
- Basic understanding of construction and electrical safety practices; must be willing to follow safety guidelines strictly
- Prior experience in construction, electrical work, or manual labor is a plus but not required—training is provided
- Ability to read simple plans, labels, or electrical instructions is helpful but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to job sites; punctuality is essential
- Interest in growing within the electrical field or pursuing apprenticeship opportunities is a bonus
