Office Manager

Part time | Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi | Starting at $25 per hour | 25 hours per week

Motu Homes is a modular housing company bringing affordable housing to Hawaiʻi. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in real estate, escrow, permitting, or housing development especially with an interest in modular housing solutions and who is passionate about organizing office systems and supporting meaningful projects in the community.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate and project manage day to day business operations supporting our modular housing projects including sales, delivery and logistics

· Manage internal systems, workflows, and documentation, including escrow documents, loan documents, contact management, customer communication, and scheduling

· Assist in bookkeeping and bill pay

· Prepare and maintain templates for emails, documents, proposals, and marketing materials

· Update website and digital platforms to reflect available models, timelines, and company updates

· Track warranty information and ensure policy communications are accurate and up to date

· Assist in developing quarterly goals, performance tracking, and forward-looking strategy

· Explore climate, disaster relief, and housing accessibility credits or incentives that may benefit modular homebuyers

· Open and close the showroom

Preferred Experience

5 plus years of experience in real estate operations, escrow, permitting, or project management
Familiarity with modular housing, or a strong interest in learning
Proficiency in Google Workspace, QuickBooks, and contact management platforms with the ability to learn new technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated
Knowledge of Hawaiʻi permitting processes and housing regulations preferred

Compensation

Starting at $25 dollars per hour for the first three months

Job Type: Temp to hire (starting at part time and becoming full time)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $24.33 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
