Adecco is hiring a Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader for our client, a leading food manufacturer. Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Safety
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure OSHA compliance
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Manage frozen food storage and handling protocols
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Coordinate inbound receipt of raw ingredients and packaging materials
- Optimize outbound shipment transportation and delivery schedules
- Track KPIs: on-time delivery rates, transportation costs, and order accuracy
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise Warehouse & Logistics team including Inventory Control and Warehouse Team Advisors
- Recruit, train, and develop warehouse staff
- Promote safety culture and performance excellence
Inventory Management
- Implement inventory control systems to reduce shrinkage
- Conduct regular cycle counts and warehouse audits
- Maintain inventory accuracy and stock level optimization
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure food safety standards compliance (HACCP, FDA regulations)
- Monitor quality assurance protocols for frozen food products
- Maintain temperature-controlled storage requirements
Budget & Reporting
- Manage warehouse and logistics budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Prepare executive reports on warehouse performance and inventory metrics
Workforce Engagement
- Foster positive team culture and open communication
- Support professional development and training programs
- Drive employee engagement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience
- Experience in food manufacturing or cold storage facilities
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Understanding of food safety regulations
Preferred:
- Forklift certification
- Lean/Six Sigma knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
