Sales Assistant (Newborn Apparel, Accessories & Toys)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our Newborn Apparel, Accessories & Toys division. This role supports our off-price retail partners—including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington, and Ross—through efficient execution, strong communication, and precise follow-up:
Sales & Account Support
- Assist the Sales Manager in day-to-day account management for key off-price retailers.
- Prepare sales reports, order forms, and meeting materials as needed.
- Manage item setups, costing sheets, and line lists to ensure accuracy and readiness for buyer review.
Buyer Communication & Meeting Preparation
- Coordinate and prepare seasonal showroom displays and product samples for buyer meetings.
- Maintain organized sales materials and ensure product information is up to date and aligned with buyer expectations.
- Communicate professionally with retail partners, tracking all follow-ups and action items.
Data & Reporting
- Update and maintain order tracking and internal reporting tools.
- Utilize Excel to analyze sales and inventory data (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Support the team in preparing weekly or seasonal sales recaps for management and retail partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with production, design, and logistics teams to ensure timely order execution and shipment accuracy.
- Coordinate product information and updates across departments to maintain alignment and efficiency.
- Assist with sample management, product tagging, and other tasks to support daily operations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
- 2 years of direct experience in wholesale sales support, a buying office, or as an assistant buyer (not retail floor sales).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables required).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Keen attention to detail and an interest in fashion, product, and merchandising.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; or an Associate’s degree with 2+ years experience in wholesale sales support, account management, or related
