About The Role
We are seeking a talented Materials & Process Engineer to help shape the future of virtual and augmented reality (AR/VR). These technologies are expected to become as common as smartphones and computers, transforming how people work, play, and connect.
This role focuses on developing and integrating organic materials into advanced AR/VR devices. You’ll work on cutting-edge research and turn innovative concepts into real-world applications.
What You’ll Do
- Develop next-generation optoelectronic materials through design, fabrication, and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and accelerate innovation.
- Design and test new techniques for crystal growth, material processing, and analysis.
- Communicate research findings clearly to internal teams and external partners.
- Help transition research breakthroughs into practical applications for future AR/VR products.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optical Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
- Chemistry
- Materials Science (organic materials focus)
- Crystallization and nucleation
- Solid-state analysis
- Optoelectrical materials
- 2+ years of hands-on experimental laboratory work, with the ability to adapt concepts to a bench-top environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with optical measurement and analysis (e.g., refractometry, ellipsometry).
- Familiarity with solid-state analysis techniques (XRD, spectroscopy, DSC, optical microscopy).
- Knowledge of crystallographic software (e.g., CCDC suite, BGMN, Profex, Olex2).
- Experience with chromatographic techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, GC).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Track record of achievement (grants, patents, publications in high-impact journals).
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on lab experience translating concepts into experiments.
