This is a non-exempt level position.
Position Summary:
The Logistics Sales Representative will work alongside the Logistics Sales team to bring on new leads and prospective customers to the account team. This position will be responsible for lead generation and prospective customer outreach while selling the services of ADM Logistics. This position is judged on leads generated, new customer quotes and overall new customer revenue, profit and load count metrics. The Sales Representative will then work with the account team to onboard the customers and ensure they have everything they need from the group.
The Customer Service Representative will report directly to the Senior Sales Manager. This role will be based at our Decatur, IL North American Headquarters or Camanche, IA facility
Job Responsibilities:
Work with Sales Team on new lead generation, follow up and outreach.
Work with Account Team to onboard new customer accounts
Proactively follow up with leads and get leads to the point of quoting business.
Understand customer's business and utilize knowledge and resources to provide customized solutions to each account while selling what ADM Logistics can offer.
Address and support customer challenges, opportunities and threats while considering their tolerance for transit time, cost, risk and market conditions
Assist Account Team in all aspects of the customer relationship.
Elicit customer feedback to help guide future product and service offerings
Periodically check in with accounts on how things are going.
Train additional team members, as necessary
Logistics consulting and cost reductions
Travel as needed to current and prospective customers.
Development and tracking of key performance indicators and metrics
Establish and meet individual goals and objectives relating to all aspect of the position
Participate in department sales and operational meetings
Quoting customer business
Provide weekly activity reports on prospecting.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
Proactive mentality with the desire to grow. Sales background preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills with emphasis on telephone communications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Aggressive self-starter with keen negotiation skills in order to be successful in this role
Knowledge of brokerage, third party logistics and freight forwarding is helpful
Previous sales experience is strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is required
A college degree is preferred
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Ability to work alone or in a team environment
Travel as needed to current and prospective customers.
ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$55,100.00 - $91,000.00
