Warehouse Supervisor
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining safety standards, optimizing workflows, and ensuring inventory accuracy to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
- Implement and monitor warehouse procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Implement and oversee security operations.
- Ensure the effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Ensure the safety of all staff members.
- Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of asset conditions.
- Assist with deliveries as required.
- Liaise with transport companies, suppliers, and clients.
Team Leadership
- Direct, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to meet productivity goals.
- Foster a positive, efficient, and safe work environment.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with management to implement new systems or technologies.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare reports on warehouse performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
- Availability to work extended hours as needed.
