Duties

Assist with the preparation of work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing tools and materials
Perform general construction tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and assembling structures or components according to specifications
Operate basic power tools and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
Support skilled tradespeople by handing them tools, materials, and supplies needed for various tasks
Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards or issues and report them promptly
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to ensure a secure workplace for yourself and colleagues
Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas as required

Skills

Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods
Excellent attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and safely
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and understanding instructions clearly
Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment with proper safety precautions
Basic knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building materials
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
Reliable work ethic with punctuality and a positive attitude
Preferred certifications include OSHA safety training or other relevant safety credentials
