Job Description
Jones Road and Bridge is seeking a skilled and motivated Grade Foreman to join our team. This role involves overseeing grading operations for Roads, excavations, and storm drainage. Ensuring quality and efficiency in all aspects of the work.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise grading operations on road, Excavations, and storm drainage projects.
· Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
· Operate and oversee the use of GPS equipment and GPS units for accurate grading with dozers, excavators, and motor graders.
· Coordinate with project managers and crew members to maintain schedules.
· Perform quality checks and resolve on-site issues promptly.
· Maintain and keep precise safety records. Conduct weekly and annual safety meetings and inspections. Follow all safety procedures established by OSHA and Jones Road and Bridge.
· Supervise and manage a crew of 2 – 5 people which includes Laborers, Operators, installers, etc.
· Work with the project managers to ensure proper daily reporting and records are kept.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Grade Foreman or in a similar role.
· Proficiency in using GPS equipment and GPS units which includes Dozers, Excavators, Motor Graders, etc.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and construction standards.
