Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the quality management system documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with the following standards: ISO 9001, ISO 17025, AC 7115, AS9100 and IATF 16949 requirements and the environmental system to ISO 1400 I requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify the effectiveness of quality systems and processes, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Facilitate quality training sessions for employees to promote awareness and understanding of quality systems
- Coordinate and manage customer audits and inspections, ensuring all documentation and processes align with customer requirements
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to management with actionable recommendations
- Support new product development initiatives by ensuring quality considerations are incorporated from the outset
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field; relevant certifications (such as CQE or CQA) are a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in quality systems engineering or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
- Must have experience with FMEA, GD&T, PPAP and APQP
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels
- Proficient in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
