Responsibilities
- Perform water damage restoration tasks, including extracting standing water, drying structures, and monitoring moisture levels with specialized equipment.
- Conduct fire damage cleanup by removing soot, ash, and debris while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Execute mold remediation procedures to identify mold growth, contain affected areas, and safely remove mold spores using appropriate techniques.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, cleaning, and repair activities in damaged properties.
- Clean and restore carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces utilizing professional cleaning methods to ensure thorough sanitation.
- Support construction or repair efforts by performing minor repairs or assisting skilled tradespeople as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and progress reports for each project.
- Follow safety standards diligently to protect yourself, team members, and clients throughout all restoration activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain processes and ensure their satisfaction during the restoration journey.
Skills
- Proven experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning services.
- Strong knowledge of water damage restoration techniques including drying equipment operation and moisture detection.
- Familiarity with fire damage cleanup processes and soot removal methods.
- Experience with mold remediation procedures and understanding of health safety standards related to mold control.
- Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., scrapers, pry bars) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) efficiently and safely.
- Skilled in carpet cleaning techniques using professional equipment for deep cleaning and sanitation purposes.
- Capable of performing light demolition work as part of restoration projects.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for documentation purposes.
