POSITION AVAILABLE: Director of Operations, Truckload Division
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Director of Operations of our Truckload division who is a goal orientated and results driven candidate to help grow our truckload brokerage division. Our company offers every mode of transportation to our customers complimented with a 24/7 IN-office staff that provides customized customer service on every load.
We are seeking experienced leader to grow and improve our brokerage division.
Responsibilities would include-
· Managing a current freight portfolio
· Provide & negotiate freight rates with both the customer & carriers/drivers
· Build a carrier base to benefit current & future freight lanes
- Work closely with our sales representatives to execute high level customer service
· Use their knowledge & experience to hire, train & push our operation’s team
In this role, you will lead a team of customer & carrier account managers to push more business within their freight portfolio, delegate new accounts & provide helpful insight on day to day situations. Experience & Skills:
- 5 + years of related experience within the industry
- Non asset based and asset based experience preferred
- Experience with North American truckload transportation (dry van & flatbed)
- Ability to develop long-term relationships
- Strong management skills and leadership presence to command and motivate the department
- Results-driven
- Robust market knowledge
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and ability to think and respond quickly to service issues
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
