Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior IT Infrastructure Support Analyst to provide technical support to employees by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers, software, and network systems. This role helps ensure that all users have reliable access to the technology they need to do their jobs. The ideal candidate is patient, helpful, and has strong problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal clients, primarily supporting employees in the Houston office
- Assist with resolving technology and general office infrastructure issues
- Set up, configure, and support desktop hardware and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Provision and support mobile devices, including Office 365 and Microsoft Intune management
- Log, diagnose, and resolve support requests via email, phone, remote control and the helpdesk portal
- Use the helpdesk system to record problem details and document resolutions
- Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot, test, and implement effective solutions
- Communicate issue status updates to users and escalate high-priority problems to management when needed
- Coordinate and manage desk moves and computer equipment upgrades
- Install new server room equipment and decommission retired hardware
- Provide remote technical support to other U.S. offices as required
- Maintain and manage hardware inventory, including spare parts and PCs
- Provide on-site support for our refinery in Channelview, Texas 1-3 times a month
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field from a recognized university
- Minimum of 1 year experience providing support to corporate end users
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in customer or client service environments is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 management
- Self-motivated and ambitious, with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Excellent administrative and organizational abilities
- Willingness to pursue Microsoft accreditation and certifications
- Experience with coding or scripting languages is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
