Job Overview: Crew Chief – SERVPRO®
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Chief to lead field crews in the execution of restoration and cleaning projects, including water, fire, mold, and storm damage. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of restoration procedures, and the ability to manage job site operations efficiently. This position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Sign-On Bonus:
A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of production crews on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to SERVPRO standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, crew members, and management regarding project scope and progress.
- Perform hands-on restoration services including water extraction, demolition, fire cleanup, mold remediation, and content manipulation.
- Maintain accurate job site documentation using SERVPRO systems and tools (such as DryBook etc.).
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of restoration equipment, including dehumidifiers, air movers, extractors, and PPE.
- Enforce safety protocols and coach crew members on proper procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with subcontractors or vendors as needed to meet project requirements.
- Provide training and mentorship to technicians, helping them grow in skills and performance.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in restoration, construction, or similar field preferred.
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient with job documentation and mobile field apps.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in challenging environments (attics, crawlspaces, etc.).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
