Position Overview:
ACTO Frontec is looking for an experienced Baker to manage and lead all aspects of the Bakery at our remote camp in Alaska. This role involves meeting guests' needs related to pastries, baked goods, recipes, plating guides, and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure meals are prepared and severed to the highest standard
- Support kitchen operations in a professional manner
- Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner
- Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
Qualifications:
- Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking
- The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate
- 2-3 years’ experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Professional communication skills, oral, and written
- Work well under pressure
