Responsibilities
- Estimate self-performed construction activities
- Oversee & direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance w/building & safety regulations
- Coordinate construction means and methods and review shop drawings
- Provide & update progress schedule & estimates of costs, incl. change estimates
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal & external reports pertaining to job status
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft subcontracts & purchase orders
- Analyze, manage & mitigate risks
- Represent the company at job progress meetings
- Requirements
- Proven working experience in construction management w/ a minimum of 5 yrs. relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of construction management process, means, and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Understanding of all facets of construction management. Hepco Construction does not have separate estimating and project management departments
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Excellent oral, written and electronic communication skills
