We are looking for an HVAC estimator and project manager to join our team!
Job detail
- Prepare cost estimates for mechanical to include HVAC, duct work, chilled water piping systems, and equipment for commercial projects.
- Account for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs within estimates.
- Review plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Perform field surveys for the development of project estimates.
- Take-off material and provide accurate quantity surveys. Adjust labor production factors based on the degree of difficulty.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Submit proposals to customers, finalize pricing and complete internal setups promptly.
- Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with key owner direct customers, equipment/material suppliers and general contractors, as well as create strong partnerships with select engineers and vendors.
- Provide Budget for project supervision to run project within the estimated hard cost.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Over 5+ years experience estimating HVAC projects
Good math skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and understand engineer's specifications and drawings
Must be well organized, flexible, detail oriented and multi-tasked.
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, Outlook, various document clients such as ftp servers, iSqft, Grade Beam, municipal procurement sites, etc.
Comprehensive understanding of Florida Building Code
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Professional demeanor.
Must work well in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $38.54 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
