I. POSITION SUMMARY
The Peer Recovery Support Manager is responsible for the supervision, oversight, and coordination of Peer Recovery Support Services (PRSS) and Peer Navigation programming. This position ensures services are delivered in alignment with recovery-oriented principles, CARF International Standards, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health requirements, Medicaid regulations, and Stark County TASC policies and procedures.
II. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Management of Peer Recovery Support Staff
· Provides weekly formal supervision and ongoing consultation to Peer Recovery Support Specialists and Peer Navigators.
· Promotes peer support as non-clinical, recovery-oriented services that engage, encourage, and connect individuals and families to appropriate resources.
· Ensures peer services reflect the lived experience model and uphold ethical peer boundaries.
· Evaluates and disciplines supervised employees in consultation with the Executive Director.
· Reviews and monitors documentation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
B. Program Oversight and Quality Assurance
· Ensures clients receive quality services through development, coordination, and monitoring of PRSS programming.
· Assists in development and implementation of the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan.
· Supports staff understanding of Quality Assurance indicators and documentation standards.
· Maintains compliance with reporting requirements for peer recovery and peer navigation services.
· Participates in community partner meetings related to peer programming.
C. Administrative Responsibilities
· Assists the Executive Director in development of new peer programming initiatives.
· Evaluates effectiveness of PRSS programming and participates in strategic planning.
· Interviews prospective PRSS employees in consultation with the Executive Director.
D. Direct Service Responsibilities
· Provides peer recovery support services as needed with appropriate documentation.
· Documents client progress and service plan compliance through timely progress notes.
· Provides authorized coordination with referral sources, families, employers, and providers in accordance with confidentiality laws.
III. INTERPERSONAL COMPETENCIES

· Represents Stark County TASC professionally within the community and with funding authorities.
· Supports the agency’s mission of service to individuals impacted by substance use and mental health disorders.
· Responds promptly to critical situations.
· Provides proactive support to meet agency needs.
· Practices within legal and ethical guidelines established by Stark County TASC, StarkMHAR, and ODBH.
· Maintains current certification within the Peer Recovery Support field and provides verification to the agency.
IV. GLOBAL COMPETENCIES
· Demonstrates knowledge of infection control procedures.
· Demonstrates competency during agency emergency drills.
· Demonstrates understanding of agency disaster protocols.
V. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Certification in Peer Support Supervision required.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health related field preferred.
· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
· LPC or LSW with five (5) or more years of experience preferred.
· Must have knowledge and experience in management.
Demonstrated knowledge of recovery support principles, leadership skills, computer skills, and organizational skills
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
