Our onsite Program Management team in Chicago, IL is looking to add a driven and collaborative Assistant Project Manager - BHS in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital Redevelopment Program at O’Hare International Airport. This position allows for the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team.
Reporting to the BHS Project Manager (PM), your responsibilities will include partnering with client representatives and management of the appointed Construction Manager At-Risk (CMR). You’ll support the Project Managers with stakeholder coordination, interface management, design and construction oversight, value engineering, reporting, problem solving, risk assessments, preparation of presentation materials and day-to-day project and technical management of activities.
You’ll assist with the preparation of project details in various phases, provide technical support to Project Managers with contract packages, and project execution plans. You’ll perform regular site walks to track project completion, facilitate the BHS RFI and submittals processes, assist in review of proposed design changes, assist with the technical review of design and construction documents, assist with review of the project schedule, track the CMAR’s submission of required reporting and compliance with contract documents, participate in various meetings and work sessions and serve as the acting PM in his absence.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction
- 5+ years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager at an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization
- Experience on projects with a minimum construction value of $100 million
- Related design and construction project management experience with building projects
- Working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
- Experience with vertical design and construction projects
- Ability to work onsite full time at O’Hare International Airport with the program management team
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Experience with airline data systems, building management systems, MEPFP systems
- Experience with BIM modeling
- Experience working on Aviation project management teams
- Experience working on alternate delivery contracts
- PMP, DBIA Professional, Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/registration

The base salary range for this position is $105,000 – 145,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
