The
Director of Controls Engineering leads the automation solutions team, overseeing Electrical Controls, Software, and Project Engineering to deliver fully automated storage systems such as pallet and tote shuttles, conveyors, and lifts.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project, controls, and software engineers, as well as department heads and external vendors.
- Assigning projects, supporting system validation, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring timely project completion within budget.
- Leading technical design, sourcing materials, processing change orders, and supporting installation and commissioning efforts.
- Serving as the primary technical contact for clients and internal teams, participating in customer meetings, and providing engineering insights.
- Staying current with industry trends, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and preparing reports for senior management.
Qualifications Include
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Automation Engineering or related field.
- Extensive management experience in material handling and automation industries.
- Strong mechanical, robotic system design skills, and experience with automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and collaborate across time zones.
