Job Description:
Amazon is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee daily transportation, inventory movement, and distribution operations. This position is responsible for ensuring products and materials move safely, efficiently, and on schedule throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily logistics, transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations
- Coordinate deliveries, carrier schedules, and material movement across facilities
- Track operational performance and improve cost, quality, safety, and delivery metrics
- Identify supply chain risks, shipment delays, and inventory issues, and implement solutions
- Partner with warehouse, procurement, operations, vendors, and transportation teams
- Lead logistics associates and third-party service providers
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Use data and reporting tools to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of logistics, transportation, warehouse, supply chain, or operations experience
- Experience managing teams, vendors, carriers, or third-party logistics providers
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and logistics, warehouse, or ERP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field preferred
