Position Description:
Maintenance Carpenter constructs and maintains in good repair building woodwork and equipment, building frameworks and structures. This position also performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- The Carpenter performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors.
- Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work.
- In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience and fixtures.
- Performs all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Minimum of two years related experience and/or training in carpentry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in O&M to include support of a work force that is responsible for O&M and repair of all facility systems, subsystems, and selected equipment typically found in a Base Operating Services contract.

Must be able to pass a company drug screen and background check. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
