Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing direction, coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities.
- Support the overall direction and execution of the company strategy, growth initiatives, and operational goals, collaborating with executive leadership to build a high-performance, accountable culture aligned with company values.
- Establish annual departmental objectives and conduct performance reviews to support employee growth and accountability.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Analyze production workflows and facility layouts to optimize space utilization, material flow, and operational effectiveness.
- Design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives that reduce waste, improve productivity, and support continuous improvement objectives.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation for manufactured components, tooling, fixtures, assemblies, and production equipment using SolidWorks.
- Create, review, and revise part drawings to ensure compliance with customer specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and quality requirements.
- Maintain full P&L accountability by driving continuous improvement in cost efficiency and margin performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Demonstrated experience creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation is required.
- Strong ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, engineering specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with precision machining, semiconductor manufacturing, quartz fabrication, ceramics, or related advanced manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to conceptualize and develop functional mechanical designs and manufacturing solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with the capability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
