About Humango
We make cool toys.
Not "another version of a thing that already exists" toys. We want to make the kinds of toys that stop people in their tracks. The kind of object that compels someone to walk across a room just to touch it.
That means we're experimental. Sometimes weird. Occasionally brilliant. We take risks on products that don't fit neatly into existing categories, and we're building a company that can bring those products to the world at scale.
We're still a small team, but we're growing quickly. Fast enough that we need someone who can help us institutionalize some of our insanity—building systems, keeping things organized, and helping us reliably launch products into major retailers without losing the creativity that got us here in the first place.
Why Work Here?
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing company.
You'll get a front-row seat to the toy industry, learn how products go from idea to store shelf, and work closely with a small team where your contributions actually matter. If you've ever wanted to wear a lot of hats, see how a business really works, and help bring strange new toys into existence, you'll probably enjoy it here. We're looking for someone who is excited by the idea of helping build something.
What You'll Do
No two weeks will look exactly the same, but some of your responsibilities will include:
· Managing customer service emails and responding to Google Voice messages
· Handling administrative paperwork and keeping operational details organized
· Running errands around Portland to pick up materials and supplies
· Assisting with light production work—sticking stickers, packing boxes, gluing the glueables
· Maintaining reports and tracking information in Google Sheets
· Coordinating travel arrangements and logistics for trade shows
· Onboarding new products into our internal systems
· Planning and coordinating complex orders for major retail partners and brands
· Giving direct, candid feedback that helps us make better decisions and do fewer dumb things
What We're Looking For
· Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, especially Google Docs and Google Sheets
· Experience with ecommerce, shipping, fulfillment, or operations
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Comfort working with a wide variety of stakeholders, from customers to retail partners
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without constant direction
· Willingness to jump between tactical tasks and bigger-picture projects
· A practical problem solver who enjoys figuring things out
· Someone who genuinely loves toys, creativity, and making things
Bonus Points If You Have
· Experience with inventory management systems
· Experience working at a startup or small business
· Familiarity with retail operations or wholesale order management
· A strong opinion about what makes a toy unforgettable
A Note About This Role
Some days you'll be answering emails.
Some days you'll be packing boxes.
Some days you'll help coordinate a large retail order or solve an operational problem nobody saw coming.
If that variety sounds exciting rather than exhausting, we'd love to hear from you.
We're less interested in finding someone who has done this exact job before and more interested in finding someone who is resourceful, organized, curious, and eager to help build something special.
